I watched the first episode of The Tourist, which is now on Netflix. It was gripping, we'll see how things go from here. It had been on my list for a while based on a recommendation in here.

Synchronic (Netflix): 2019 scifi drama, IMDB rating 6.2. This is from Benson and Morehead, who did 3 movies I really liked: Spring, The Endless, and Resolution. This has the smallest possible tie-in (a reference to a red flower in California) but is otherwise standalone. I wanted to like this...

Seems like a cool approach would be to go chronologically, see the progression of the genre. If you jump directly in at The Raid: Redeption, there's no point in watching most movies before then.

A cancelled zombie show is a happy ending - they didn’t have a chance to kill off some of the characters. Just watch the first episode of Black Summer. Nothing could keep up that pace, but they still did a great job IMO. If you do watch it, turn on subs for the final episode of season 1...

I finally watched Invasion of the Body Snatchers 78 (Prime). It’s good. Bleak, but well done. Seeing the hysterical lady from Alien being hysterical for most of this movie had better not mess up Alien for me. Gads she’s irritating.
