Specifics don't matter, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has basically punted draft prep this year. 1st one is tonight, 2nd one Monday, last one Tuesday. Oops. Those who are actually on the ball, please post cliff notes and schtick here.
Liked the dip I saw over the last few weeks, fear that may correct after tonight. Just hope not too much. He is going to out produce a pile of those hazy mid round picks at half the cost.
Going to a wedding Saturday, wife and I are meeting up with the mayhem Friday but are looking for a good place to dine beforehand. Must have tv for the draft, preferably audio, but not a must. Hanging out in Romeo, hotel is in Utica, coming from Ohio, where should we go?
I extract a lot of value by utilizing platoons in my daily lineup leagues. Roster both and choose starter based on opposing pitcher. Started getting draft plan together and may have figured out a deep league favorite. Drew Stubbs and Corey Dickerson. Good chance of them hitting lead off...
I am taking a different approach for 2014 draft prep. 2013 was still a pretty good year relatively speaking, I won my most important league, but I did not do as well as I usually do. In a dog fight for 2nd and 3rd this weekend in my roto's, knocked out in the 1st round of one head to head...
There's still 6+ weeks left in the season, but for most it's either football time or time to battle. I'm still very much in the thick of things in 2 of my 5 leagues, but things are looking bleak in my other 3. It's going to take a monster finish to push for the title in all of them, not...
Jacksonville did what I think all NFL teams needed to do in regards to evaluating Denard Robinson. They saw him as a RB, not a WR, and drafted accordingly. He has the long speed, acceleration, agility, and vision of a feature RB. The operative question is whether he can handle the load...
Is it over yet? I for the most part mentally checked out sometime in February with a brief pause during the early stages of free agency. Getting back into it with the draft next week, but want to make sure the noise period is over first.
@RapSheet: BREAKING: Chip Kelly is close to a deal to become the #Browns coach, according to a source informed of his situation.

Schwartz on Stafford: "His mechanics are very good. He doesn't have mechanical problems. He's very creative as a QB"
I've soured on him, but thought he deserved another year to try to clean up the cluster #### of a clubhouse he has helped create, but...not anymore. Maybe he's too busy yelling...
My interest cooled when I learned that today, wish it had been before one of my drafts. The last two times he did this (2008 and 2010) he struggled with the bat and with health. Still like the upside, but at his price don't like the risk.
Haven't paid as much attention outside of the Browns and my own teams as I usually do, I have an extra roster spot and want to take a flier on a LB who may get a starting MIKE job next year. Any names come to mind? Digging a little deep here probably, I just took a stab at Riley on the off...
Maybe I'm on an island here, but I come in here each August and the pool is basically full of different draft planning threads. I gotta ask, why? Draft good players, know who is under and over valued, who is hurt and who it may effect, get a 6 pack, go to draft.
Yea, I read all offseason...
Some Douglas goodness to chew on

Probably too late to buy low in dyno's, but redrafter's - here's your best late round flier bet to date
Hoped his couple of big games pre All Star break would be a sign of a big hot streak, the usually are with him, and he's done that and a lot more.
8/22 8 R 4 HR 11 RBI in 8 games
It may not be too late to buy in.
If you had told me I'd be writing this on May 10th this time last year I'd have called you a crazy person, but here we are. The love for him was too blind, and too thick this time last year. Now? It's come full circle. Owners got burned because they over valued the situation and now Slaton...
I’m trying something a bit different this year in my rookie analysis, below is a summary
#1 break up into tiers
#2 identify names of tiers (as it turns out I think the name was more important than anything else)
#3 identify round values (real draft, not fantasy draft) for each tier
#4 repeat...
There is a group of 6-10 QB's that owners can draft and confidently say they expect good things from them. After that, though, it becomes more of a guessing game. Every year there's going to be value and this year there could be a lot of it. Those guys drafted as QB2's that produce like top 7...
