TBH, Get Out is the only Jordan Peele movie that i actually liked. I was deeply disappointed in Us and Nope. Not quite a Shyamalanian level of disappointment, but quite a bit of disappointment nonetheless.
I liked Us but not nearly as much. Seemed like it got bogged down by its own concept - simplifying things would have made it much better. Nope got a nope from me, thumbs downTBH, Get Out is the only Jordan Peele movie that i actually liked. I was deeply disappointed in Us and Nope. Love love this one and Black Phillip#29 - The Witch
In 1630, a farmer relocates his family to a remote plot of land on the edge of a forest where strange, unsettling things happen. With suspicion and paranoia mounting, each family member's faith, loyalty and love are tested in shocking ways.

This one has a lot going for it. It looks gorgeous. The characters are well-written. It's a simple concept executed very well. I also really like the fact that the entire story can be interpreted in several radically different ways.#29 - The Witch

One of my favorite slow burn movies. Exceptional execution on building and sustaining dread.#29 - The Witch

Get out barely stayed in my top 75, and judging by a few i movies missed it will likely get bumped offDisappointing start to the day with Get Out so high up, but the group totally redeemed themselves with The VVitch and [rec] being higher.
Get Out I didn't give a thought to being in my top 75, and the other two were very highly rated.
Eggers and Aster put a lot of thought and research into the details and look of their movies, and it shows. I can't think of anybody else currently I would have have direct a horror movie than those two. This one has a lot going for it. It looks gorgeous. The characters are well-written. I think one of the reasons I like found footage and this one in particular is because they have a way of lulling you a bit as not much happens for awhile. For me, this is #1 with a bullet for the genre. There are a lot of WTF is going on moments as this ramps up, and as you said the last 10mins scared the crap out of me.#28 - [REC]

This is another one to shoot to the top of your watchlists if you havent seen it. This movie is on many fans' found footage Mt. Rushmore, myself included.
Outside of the found footage element, it's a great zombie movie on it's own. And the last 5-10 minutes make it one of the scariest endings in horror of the last 20 years. It does everything a found footage and a zombie movie should do right.
I just find his movies to be uneven, but with good cores of ideas. A few really good scenes, but I don't click with the humor and find he leans on delivering the message a bit too much. Get Out was the best overall, and the scene in Nope with the baboon is scary as hell though.TBH, Get Out is the only Jordan Peele movie that i actually liked. I hold Blair Witch in high regard, but I will admit a bit of that is because I saw it opening night in the theater. That is one of my favorite theater experiences. Rec would be one, and The Taking of Deborah Logan would be one if I had to decide right now. 4th I would have to think about more or do some rewatches.
ETA: I guess 3rd I might have to think about as well, as I am not 100% sure if I would include Blair Witch in my personal top 4 if I could only decide on 4.

Get Out was groundbreaking, which played a role it it making my Top 75 (but not quite Top 50). [rec] was my unofficial #77 and 2nd alternate if some of my originals hadn't qualified. The VVitch is on a whole other level IMO and made my Top 10 - I didn't mind the slow burn as it developed the characters and extremely unique setting well, even nailing the unusual (for us) dialect, taken from among the very first ever audio recordings. It definitely and deservedly springboarded Anya Taylor-Joy's career (who I really like in a lot of other works but nothing has topped this one, regardless of genre). Loaded with creepiness and unforgettable imagery. If anything, I may have underrated this at #9.Get out barely stayed in my top 75, and judging by a few i movies missed it will likely get bumped offDisappointing start to the day with Get Out so high up, but the group totally redeemed themselves with The VVitch and [rec] being higher.

Absolutely, but things went downhill after that opening scene. It's basically a curse for a movie to have such a great start and then be merely ordinary from there.I just find his movies to be uneven, but with good cores of ideas. A few really good scenes, but I don't click with the humor and find he leans on delivering the message a bit too much. Watch this maybe once a year. To me it's about as perfect as a movie can get. Rewatchability & quotability is off the charts, set pieces are fantastic, James Horner slaying the soundtrack. You can have Godfather II as the greatest sequel of all time, my vote goes to Ripley & co.#26 - Aliens

Sorry but this take doesn't make sense to me. Just because there's guns, it doesn't take away the tension that is present, the monsters are still there (there's even more of them!) and like I said, it has body horror elements galore just like the first one.
Scenes that make it horror: Ripley's chestburster dream scene, Ripley and Newt trapped with a facehugger in the locked room, the revelation of the swarm of Aliens in the vents, the shot of the alien slowly rising from the water behind Newt, and many more. This movie was absolutely shot with a good mix of action and the horror elements that made the first film so great.

In this case I fall back to the overall tone of the movie, and especially when I can think of a slam dunk horror that is just like it (or in this case in the same series). I have seen both tons of times and you wouldn't be able to convince me Alien and Aliens belong in the same section.
